will enable The Gay Publishing Company to implement its first-year schedule more quickly and more professionally.  As a founding sponsor, you will enjoy special first-year benefits, including

• extra-reduced rates on discounted first-year subscriptions,
            an offer that you can promote as a benefit for your employees
            and/or customers, and
• extended shelf life on your advertisements and promotions in our
            monthly virtual and print magazines: while we will not be releasing
            a full twelve issues in our first year (at least nine issues will be
            published initially), one—and probably two—of those will be
            marketed as free sample issues, which means they will be printed
            in excess quantities and have extended shelf lives for distribution
            at film festivals, Pride events, and other occasions—you'll get a
            bigger bang for your advertising and promotional buck!

If you rush, you can still get in on the deals. Just remember that space limits the number of sponsors we can host at any one time.

Who can be a sponsor?

The truth is, any group—a for-profit company or a nonprofit organization—can help sponsor The Gay Publishing Company (subject to approval from our Advisory Board, that is). But only a limited number of sponsorships will be available. The Gay Publishing Company offers two different types of sponsorships. The first type is the typical advertising sponsorship, which is used by sponsors who simply want to advertise on our site. The second type is an investment sponsorship for investors who wish to assist a favorite nonprofit agencies. For information on investment sponsorships, please visit our Investor-Sponsor page.

Both types of sponsorships enable The Gay Publishing Company to meet its goals of reaching more readers and publishing more writers. In return, The Gay Publishing Company offers a variety of flexible, premium advertising possibilities and publicity opportunities, as well as a range of possible benefits for your own employees, contributors, and customers. To provide a more concentrated exposure for each sponsor, no more than $50,000 in sponsorships will be secured at any one time. And, of course, all sponsors will be gay and gay-friendly companies, so viewers or visitors will be prescreened referrals and shoppers.

The cost of an advertising sponsorship can range from a minimum amount of $5,000 to a maximum of $25,000. Benefits for advertising sponsors vary according to amount purchased and benefits selected (from the list below).

Negotiable benefits include

• placement of a linked logo and brief description on our main home page
            (scroll to the bottom of the home page for an example),
• placement of an advertisement in the banner position of many
            high-traffic pages (see the top of this page for one example
            of an arrangement with three block ads; full-across banner ads
            are also possible),
• a prioritized (by amount of sponsorship) listing on our Sponsor page
            (this one), which links to any landing page of your choosing—here,
            at The Gay Publishing Company, or on your own site (links and
            information can be changed out periodically),
• reduced rates for subscriptions to The Gay Publishing Company
            or discounts for products sold by The Gay Publishing Company,
            an offer that you can promote as a benefit to your employees
            and/or customers, and
• first choice of advertising space in our monthly virtual and print
            magazines.
