 Our Author Scholarship Fund

If you are lucky enough
to have a work situation and family life that allows you time to write, consider yourself very, very fortunate. Most authors are so busy at their jobs or caring for their families that they do little more than eat, carry out household obligations, and sleep when they can. Oh, and maybe they scribble down a few words once in a while . . . if they can get in the mood . . . but . . . that usually doesn't happen!
Which is why The Gay Publishing Company is establishing an author scholarship fund. With money from the fund, and a little scheduling luck, even the most harried writers might be able to make more time to write. The catch is that we need your contributions to help build the fund and then to maintain it at a fundable level.
As soon as enough money has accumulated in our author scholarship fund,
The Gay Publishing Company will begin awarding writing scholarships to approved authors. Contribute to help get this fund going and then spread the word that The Gay Publishing Company is offering monetary support for the gay-themed writing community. Awards may be used to
assist with
- immediate living expenses, as long as the writer
has been able to take unpaid leave from his or her
income-producing job
- writing supplies
- educational tuition
- travel related to research
- other justifiable expenses
Note that contributions to the author scholarship fund are not yet tax-deductible. To make a contribution, anyway, please proceed to our "shopping cart" page.
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, complete the appropriate form with the necessary information and return as directed. Funding levels and recipients will be announced on this page once the fund gets going.
