If you are, you're looking in the right place!
Maybe you're looking for a gay novel or some gay short stories to enjoy, a gay-oriented play, perhaps, or a gay memoir . . . whatever your mood, interest, or reading fancy, you've come to a good spot! The Gay Publishing Company has plans to become the number one source for original, professionally edited and designed, literary, gay-themed reading material—an outlet for gay and gay-friendly authors and a solution for readers who just can't get enough of those types of materials.
Imagine having a continuous supply (as long as we have submissions, of course) of
- "flash" fiction,
- short stories,
- young-adult novels,
- general full-length fiction, including
science fiction, fantasies, mysteries, and
romances,
- personal narratives, including coming-out stories
and inspirational or motivational materials,
- personal and "family" histories,
- historical fiction,
- plays or scripts, and
- select nonfiction.
The Gay Publishing Company offers this material in its monthly magazine in serial form—chapter by chapter, month by month—like in the olden days! Yes, the serialized format is how Charles Dickens got started, how the stories of Sherlock Holmes were first published, and how more recent authors, including Stephen King (The Green Mile and The Plant) and Orson Scott Card ("Hot Sleep"), have chosen to release selected works. So, we do claim to be in pretty good company!
As our serialized entries in the magazine reach completion, they will be recompiled, reformatted, and released in book format, first as electronic virtual books, then as printed, paper-paged books, and finally as audio editions and an occasional graphic novel.
As soon as financially possible, we plan to also begin offering gay comic books, too, and a larger selection of nonfiction works—oh, yes . . . we have so many plans! And, they all depend on you and your support.
So, sign up for our free e-newsletter, subscribe to our virtual or print magazine, read, let us know what you want, and stay in touch. That's what we need to be successful; and that's what we need to get you what you want. We think you'll be glad you did.
